He decided to leave for MacEwan because he found it was the best place for his studies and career in business to thrive. He then sought opportunities in online sales. So what exactly does he do? He manages and grows Instagram pages. However, to complete sales, Tobi notes that knowing how to connect with others is essential in this area.

Tobi states that many salespeople chase sales with “commission breath,” a term used for a noticeable desperation in those who want to close a deal with their clients as fast as possible. Salespeople with commission breath will become overly pushy with their clients, making them uncomfortable. This often leads to failure, as strong clients see through quick tactics. On the contrary, Tobi advises that a strong work ethic will beat chasing quick outcomes when closing a sale. He also notes that hitting desired performance goals requires patience and a detachment from the short-term pressure of successfully making a sale.

Although Tobi focuses on what he wants his entrepreneurial career to look like, he also emphasizes the importance of pursuing a personal vision and resisting external influences on career choices. He reinforces focusing on what you want to be in the future and having a clear vision of your career goals. Having a clear personal vision can also help the people you work with.
